No.  I don't get to make many categorical declarations, and I thank you
for the opportunity!  ;-)

1.  State the version of your server.  
2.  Set TDSVER to the version you think is correct for your server.  
3.  export TDSDUMP=tdsdump.log
4.  Run tsql. 

Post tdsdump.log here and let's see what's what.
