freeTDS make error

Hi All,
          I am using freetds-0.64 with RHEL 3.4.6. I am trying to
run ./configure as
./configure --with-tdsver=8.0 --disable-debug --withodbc-nodm=<DIR>.
Here, <DIR> is the path of the directory containing the header files (e.g
sql.h, sqltypes.h, etc fron the unixODBC package.)

            The configure works well and doesn't give any error, but when I
try the make utility, it give errors
as "No such file or directory" for sql.h and other files.

           Have anybody faced the same problem? Or am I commiting some
mistake while configuring?
Please reply if anybody has any information regarding this issue.
