Category: TDS protocol Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Brian Bruns (brianb) Summary: SSL enhancements Initial Comment: If you attempt to use freetds compiled with openssl to a MSSQL server with a certificate installed, your connection will hang. This worked fine before MS SP4, but broke with that service pack. If the client sends a different encryption request, however, things work fine. This diff allows you to set an environment variable (TDSSSL) or a freetds.conf section option (ssl) to control the client encryption flag. Missing environment part. Test with former versions required, currently ssl disabled by default, perhaps we should always ask for encryption. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Frediano Ziglio (freddy77) Date: 2006-10-23 09:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=75766 It seems that mssql2005 do not work whithout this patch. However a test for backward compatibility (like mssql2k with SP3 and not certificate) should be done. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=407808&aid=1431050&group_id=33106
