I  don't know how you configure freetds.
I configure it success.I use freetds0.64

./configure -prefix=/usr/local/freetds --with-tdsver=8.0 

make 

make install



modified freetds.conf

[Myserver2k] 
host = host (host name or ip) 
port = 1433 (port)
tds version = 8.0



link to sql server db.

       ./tsql -S Myserver2k -p 1433 -U sa -P **

       >use snw(db)

       >go

       >select * from jczjs

       >go
