Hello,

well, I asked this question in the FreeTDS mailinglist since it is
FreeTDS specifc. You are using the PostgreSQL driver here and this
implements its own way to handle userids and passwords.

http://www.freetds.org/userguide/odbcconnattr.htm describes UID and PWD
as "attributes used only in connection strings" and not as "attributes
that may appear in odbc.ini". But why is it like that?

Kind regards
Marten
