Re: OSX PHP freetds MAMP install question...

I very specifically see this:

The instructions I linked in my original mail seemed straightforward  
enough to me, but didn't get me up and running.  I'll take a look at  
the non-system php logs to see what it's saying now... hold  
please ...  and I'm back:

I'll assume then that either the compile failed, but produced a module  
anyway, or my environment is somehow not right for the extension to  
work correctly, even though relatively standard, with no funny  
Terminal based configuration until needing to install this plug-in.

MAMP is an application that makes install of the LAMP world (but Mac  
rather than Linux) easier for the user (me) who would rather not have  
to go through the rigamarole of building and compiling everything  
anymore... I grew tired of that with punch cards and minicomputers in  
the mid-late 70s (personal rant).  I'd rather check a box to turn a  
service on than spend (what is getting on to 4 days) to get it  
working...  Fixing them may have bought me a house and two cars, but  
wasn't the original dream of computers to make life simpler?</rant>
