Hello,

Please help on the below,

I'm trying to compile freetds-0.83.dev.20090104 on Solaris 10 (Sparc) using
GCC version 3.4.3 (csl-sol210-3_4-branch+sol_rpath)

I run. /configure and it seems to work fine, the error comes when running
make

I could provide you more info up on request.

Here is the error up on make

ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to .libs/fisql

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

*** Error code 1

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `fisql'

Current working directory
/export/home/rsun/freetds-0.83.dev.20090104/src/apps/fisql

*** Error code 1

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all-recursive'

Current working directory /export/home/rsun/freetds-0.83.dev.20090104/src

*** Error code 1

Subject: [freetds] [PATCH] Build fisql on VMS

The attached is a slightly revised version of a patch I sent a couple

of weeks ago but haven't seen applied. It gets the fisql utility

built on VMS and is pretty safe in that it does not affect any code

seen by other platforms and especially doesn't touch the library code.

There are two files modified and one added:

% lsdiff -s --strip=1 001_fisql_for_vms.patch

! vms/descrip_mms.template

+ vms/edit.c

! vms/getpass.c
