Hi Mahendra, I haven't run into this particular problem before, but from the error it does look like a problem with the compiler. This line of the error output give it away I think: ucbcc: illegal option usage -xdepend Is ucbcc the Solaris C compiler? It could be possible that the "-xdepend" option is a gcc specific option not supported by the compiler used by Solaris 5. In this case you might have to figure out what this option does and the equivalent for the ucbcc compiler. Alternatively, if you have the gcc compiler installed you could compile it using this instead. Hope this helps -- Srđan Đukić On 6 August 2010 03:15, mahendra tallapalem <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Srdan, > Thank you so much for your reply. > > Though I am not getting that error now, I was getting some other errors. > So now I have thought of installing perl into my local directory.
