Gal: Sometimes this problem is due to environment variable settings. On the Windows Platform, SET FREETDSCONF=<full path to your freetds.conf file> Also, in the freetds.conf file, make sure to use IP Addresses, and not host names. RAW sockets have been limited on this version of windows! http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms740548(VS.85).aspx <http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms740548%28VS.85%29.aspx> on a different site (http://cs.baylor.edu/~donahoo/practical/CSockets/practical/ <http://cs.baylor.edu/%7Edonahoo/practical/CSockets/practical/>) a different socket connection method is used, using connect(). the function called is :int connect(int socket, const struct sockaddr* addr, int addrlen) since I'm quite a beginner in C++, can anyone add this alternative to the net.c source, maybe surround it with a #ifdef. Thanks a lot... PS: cant wait to move to linux with this project, only after we show a WIN7 version can we move on... damn! -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [freetds] Help connecting with tds to MSSQL 2008 Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2010 22:20:30 +0200 From: Gal Rubinstein <[email protected]> To: Andrew H. Also check your configuration file freetds.conf if your sql server has correct name etc. I am far from being called an expert in freetds, so maybe someone else knows better... > > Panos. > > --- On Mon, 20/9/10, Gal Rubinstein<[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]%20%20%3cmailto:[email protected]>>> wrote: > > > From: Gal Rubinstein<[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> > > Subject: Re: [freetds] Help connecting with tds to MSSQL 2008 > > To: "Panos Yahoo"<[email protected] > > <mailto:[email protected]>> Cc:[email protected] > > <mailto:[email protected]> > > Date: Monday, 20 September, 2010, 14:49 > > On 9/20/2010 3:41 PM, Panos > > Yahoo wrote: > > > Your boss should be more open minded sorry!
