All the FreeTDS applications should use Sybase headers and not sql ones.

The issue is triggered during cross compilation using mingw-w64 toolchain, as shown in that thread.

Please find attached to this ticket an unified patch with the differences. It was generated against 0.83.dev.20110125 snapshot.

Applying this patch allow a successful cross compilation of FreeTDS
