Everyone, I just wanted to thank y'all for working toward the release of FreeTDS. Many thanks too to those that have helped me debug issues that relate to the latest release of the TinyTDS gem for ruby and I wanted to share what we accomplished using FreeTDS. WIth the latest changes, I was able to release a ruby gem this this morning that has statically compiled binaries that include Libiconv and FreeTDS that will install on multiple versions for the Windows platform. This means that Windows user with the RailsInstaller project need not worry about putting these parts together or building them do be able to leverage FreeTDS to connect to their SQL Server data from Ruby. I am so excited about this as it would help promote Ruby to a large base. Again, all this would not have been possible with many of you helping me thru it. Thanks again to those working hard on FreeTDS!!! Ken
