Does this apply? http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=46072 and does defining the symbols export CFLAGS="-DSYSV -D_AIX -D_AIX53 -D_ALL_SOURCE -O2" as suggested by http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=14561895 help?
