FreeTDS 0.95.84 and cmake

Hello all,

I am trying to build the current FreeTDS version that is downloadable
from www.freetds.org using cmake 3.4 and Visual C++ 2013, as suggested
by the user guide. Unfortunately cmake raises some errors, where the
first error is that it cannot find the file
<projectdir>/misc/cmake_checks.c. The misc directory is not included in
the downloadable freeetds-patched.tar.gz.

Is this the way it is supposed to be? What is the expected way to
compile freetds in that case?
