Hi all, I resend this in a dedicated discussion thread: We have reported this issue in the "SQL Server 2016 support" thread, but in fact, we experience the same connection problems with SQL Server 2014! So it's probably a bug in FreeTDS 1.00... We have never experienced such problem with prior versions. FYI: Our test program connects/disconnects in a loop. TDSDUMP provided in attachment.
