Freetds on Leopard

Hello, I am having trouble getting Freetds reinstalled after apple put a new hard drive in my machine. I followed the tutorial provided by Brian Hogan ( http://www.napcsweb.com/blog/2007/03/08/15/) which worked great in Tiger. There was just a comment posted about it being broken. I was wondering if anyone had a work around or knew if this was a widely known problem. Any help or direction would be good, as one of my rails projects relies heavily on Microsoft's SQL server.
