[U2] Guide and guide_ndx

Ellucian (Datatel) ships it's unidata clients tools that run guide and guide_ndx on the entire database (selects all files, runs guide and captures results in a table). For us, guide take about 70mins to run, but guide_ndx is much slower taking 140mins or so. We typically run these via cron around 4am but they're running past 7am on occasion, and that's too close to when users may login for my comfort. Is it bad to run guide and guide_ndx simultaneously given there is a very slim chance they could hit the same file at the same time?
