Hi Jeff,

You will find information in the Security Features book for UniData. As Automatic Data Encryption (ADE) can have a complex setup and big impacts if you don't do it right (our team has had to help enough people with 'lost' encryption keys already, thanks ;)) that I highly recommend talking to our Professional Services team if you are looking to implement it. Note: I'm not one to 'highly' recommend that you need services too often.

Cheers,

Subject: [U2] Encryption of data in place

So with the Univ of Maryland's data breach, everyone is starting to ask questions (again).

Can someone remind me which Unidata manual covers encryption of data in place?

Unfortunately Datatel/Ellucian does not support this, but it wouldn't be the first feature of Unidata we've used without their support...
