Details:

Using dbx as the debugger ddd does not highlight the threads option in the
Status pulldown.  After displaying threads in the dbx command window I can
switch between threads there.  However, the Backtrace window is then skewed by
one frame because "current thread: t@xx" is displayed at the bottom
