Details:

The default extended-prompt setting in GDB (tested 9.1) is the string "not
set" which is picked up by DDD when one selects 'Edit -> GDB Settings'.  This
value is injected into ~/.ddd/init and then subsequent instantiation of DDD
chokes on the value (hangs waiting for gdb to be ready).  The attached patch
simply prevents DDD from trying to manage the setting.  A proficient GDB user
may insert a value for the extended-prompt into their ~/.gdbinit file that
will be used within a given DDD session.
