no plots with ddd 3.3.8 on cygwin

Hi, I have a windows laptop with cygwin installed along with ddd and gnuplot.  I tried to plot an array and a window appears which says "starting gnuplot" with a cancel button.  A gnuplot window never appears, yet gnuplot runs fine from the cygwin command line.

Any thoughts?
