Core dump accessing GDB Settings

ddd-3.3.11, built (gcc-3.4.2) from source on Solaris 9 (SPARC) with all
defaults at configuration time.

I can't access the GDB Settings under the Edit menu - dumps core every
time.  Same thing happens on the 2nd invocation of Help->DDD Reference
(or GDB Reference).  It appears to crash in a motif call.  Could this be
a misconfiguration in my environment?  Here is the stack trace:
