Perhaps you could give more information.  I note that it is available 
for gentoo, but link gives a page that says gps is no longer being 
maintained and gives nothing that tells about it.  Is it a general 
purpose debugger like ddd?  Does it use gdb? Can it be used for 
debugging Fortran code?  Why do you like it better?  Thanks,
