The patch did not apply cleanly on my copy of test5.  However, I went
back to Sourceforge CVS and created my own patch (attached) between the
release tags:

cvs diff -u -rDDD_3_3_12_test5 -rDDD_3_3_12_test6

and this seems to work OK.  I think I may also need to add an extra file
manually (add x86.vsl and remove the old pydb directory).

Rocky, can you check if these are the only changes necessary to sync
with test6?

+between @DDD{}'s Python debugger @PYDB{} and the stock python debugger
+@code{pdb}. These were not necessarily @emph{competing} efforts, just
+parallel. In fact the same person worked a little bit on both.

+One feature that @PYDB{} supported that wasn't in @code{pdb} was @GDB{}'s
+@code{display} command.

+After 1999, maintaining @PYDB{} more or less fell into disuse and @code{pdb}
+sort of inched ahead with bug fixes and redisigned interaces. Around
+the beginning of 2006, new work was started to enhance pdb and to make
+it more like @GDB{}. Since @DDD{} already understands a large set of
+@GDB{} commands, many of these enhancements were immediately
+realizable by @DDD{}. These things include command completion,
