I have readline-devel installed:

I can build gdb-7.3.50.20110722-13.fc16 without problems.

Yes, the src.rpm's require you to install all those before allowing
the "rpmbuild -bp"


So no idea what could be wrong.

Let me know if you need me to give you somo more info, or do some
quick test for you to find out.
