Solaris Compilers version 8 or 9

I love ups... Going back to dbx or gdb is like debugging with one hand 
tied behind my back.

Anyone got Ups working with Sun Solaris Sparc C++ compiler Version 8 or 9?

It works fine with version 7 compiled but it crashes when I try to debug 
anything with version 8.  I tried compiling the latest Ups version with 
the version 8 compiler but I get the same result.
