I'm running 3.3.7 on redhat 7.2 (on a virtualmachine) and I'm finding that upon hitting the fork(), ups is just crashing. Is that normally what happens? I suspect that what ought to happen is that ups will step over that fork() and that process will be spawned, but the current ups will know nothing about it unless takes steps to spawn another ups or have the current ups follow it. Is this correct? If so, what could cause ups to crash on a fork()? I've eliminated system and user memory limitations as possibilities. here's the snippet, sparse as it is: --------------------------- pid = fork(); --------------------------- appreciate any input, Jamie _________________________________________________________________ Store more e-mails with MSN Hotmail Extra Storage 4 plans to choose from! http://click.atdmt.com/AVE/go/onm00200362ave/direct/01/
