thanks! It works now.

I like this applet very much. There's just one thing which would be
nice - use different colors on the bars to represent:

CPU bar      - nice/user/system
Memory bar   - used/shared/buffers
HDD          - in/out
Network      - in/out

also adding those would be useful:

load average
raid status


Uh, I just noticed some problem... I added bars for each of those
things that can be monitored. Then I closed the app, and started it
again. Now all bars are "All CPUs". Instead of memory/network/etc..
