A deb package by the look of that path, but the one in Ubuntu is really old and nobody's responded to <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rox/+bug/432614>. Feel like compiling it from source? If not you could use 0install instead. But the missing file is probably unconnected with the following error: > The program 'rox' received an X Window System error. > This probably reflects a bug in the program. > The error was 'BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)'. > (Details: serial 454 error_code 5 request_code 20 minor_code 0) > (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; > that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. > To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line > option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful > backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) I've been getting that a lot too, when I add an applet to the panel. It's quite likely a GTK error rather than Rox's fault (especially as it's occurring in two different versions if I've guessed right about the one you're using), but it's probably very rare for it to be triggered except by Rox (which is quite rare compared to GTK I suppose). -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Join us December 9, 2009 for the Red Hat Virtual Experience, a free event focused on virtualization and cloud computing.
