ROX-Desktop and FreeBSD

I know a few of the components (filer, session, edit, archive,
terminal, mime editor, wallpaper, etc) are available in ports. But a
lot of them (the majority aren't and I'm having no end of problems
getting them to compile from source. I think the first of which is that
the path to libs is completely different in BSD systems to the one in
Linux.

Can anyone help me with this? I kind of miss ROX
