I'm just finishing off a set of ROX apps for use with a DVB tuner. And I intend to put tars of these on the web. However I've run into an odd problem that I recall encountering in the past... When I try to use the versions of the Archive rox-app that I have, they keep repeatedly calling 'zero install' whilst working. Yet older versions I used to use didn't do this. So I'd like to avoid this distracting 'call home' behaviour. (The app works, regardless, even when used on a machine disconnected from the net. So contact with zero install clearly isn't needed.) I thought I'd try getting a fresh copy of the archived app itself. But I now can't find one that I can download, extract with tar, and use *without* the calls to zero install. I looked on the http://roscidus.com/desktop/ page which led me to the http://roscidus.com/desktop/software page. This shows me a link for the Archive app (apparently). However the 'download' link on that page actually takes me to one that has archives of rox-filer, not the Archive rox-app. So where/how do I find a simple tar file of the Archive rox-app that will work without trying to use zero-install?
