OK I didn't realize you were running the whole Rox desktop.


I had a brief look at the code and it seems to me it's hard-coded so

you would have to get the source, modify it then re-compile. It doesn't seem

there is a separate config for the panel. You could not run the panel 
and run

something like tint2 which is a highly configurable task bar.
