Hi, Thanks for introducing yourself and welcome! You need to create an account on the Xfce GitLab [1], then request rights to fork by providing your username, here or on IRC #xfce-dev. See also [2]. Concerning your contribution, it is divided into two topics: double click and mouse wheel. It turns out that there are already two feature requests that correspond to it: [3], [4]. So you should create two merge requests, one after the other or in parallel if everything is already ready, as you like. See you soon on GitLab :) Cheers, Gaël [1] https://gitlab.xfce.org/users/sign_up [2] https://docs.xfce.org/contribute/dev/start [3] https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/ristretto/-/issues/78 [4] https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/ristretto/-/issues/53 ------- Original Message ------- On Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at 4:17 AM, Ms. Amelia S. I'm an avid Linux user of 15+ years. However, I have to say the XFCE desktop environment most of all. As of late I was disappointed to see Ristretto (the best image viewer) was lacking the ability for the user to customize what the double-click and scroll-wheel does - the default full screen and change image functions are not practical for myself. So I decided to implement my own preferences for such a feature. It took me about a day to get familiar with the source code for Ristretto, but before long I had a perfectly working solution. However, I felt it was a huge waste if I couldn't at least share it with the OSS community I love so much. So here I am making my first attempt to start compiling a pull request for the git repo. I look forward to sharing my code. > > Sincerely, > Amelia _______________________________________________ Xfce4-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce4-dev
