Hello folks, > while I am interested in this feature, too, I was not able to get it > working. Did you build w/ --enable-window-fences ? That's neccessary to get the window fences support built in. You maybe also want to --enable-window-policies if you want to define the initial fence for some windows - see MR #55 (the branch submit/fencs already contains both). > I also have a draft merge request implementing advanced tiling > techniques in a different way: > > https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/-/merge_requests/35 > > My implementation is lacking multi monitor support and usage > without a Compositor is somewhat ugly. Maybe this could be implemented based on fences by just creating fences automatically based on some rules. The right place might be fencesLoad(), which would also look at some other setting and then calculate fence geometries from monitors. In contrast of yours, I don't have hotkeys or menus yet. That's something I'm planning for the future, but haven't hat the time to do this yet. --mtx -- --- Hinweis: unverschlüsselte E-Mails können leicht abgehört und manipuliert werden !
