xfce4-session: where do the default clients come from ?

Hello folks,

I'm currently trying to understand, where xfce4-session takes the
default clients like xfwm4 or xfdesktop from.

My xfconf file on my test box has an obviously broken xfconf
(everything set to type empty, no mention of these progs), and session
cache is cleared, but it still starts up these programs propertly.

So, there must be some builtin fallback, but can't find anything
(eg. xfwm4 command line) in the source.

Where does that come from ?
