Call for GSoC 2024 mentors

Hi all,

the 2024 Google Summer of Code Organization Applications is open since
yesterday, so It's time again to ask if someone would be interested in
mentoring.

This year, I plan to mentor myself again. (And ofc doing the Xfce org
admin stuff ).

According to the GSoC FAQ, there seem to be 3 possible project sizes
this year 90h, 175h  and 350h. The time-frame to finish the work is
variable .. depending on the project-size, it can be between 8 and 22 weeks.

My plan would be to register Xfce for GSoC 2023 on ~1st February[1]. For
registration I need to fill in the number of Xfce mentors. So in case
you are interested, please let me know till end of January!

On 2022 GSoC mentoring took me an average of ~2hours a week from May
till November (350h project).

While some mentors do regular video calls with the contributors, I
preferred to just chat with them via Matrix, on gitlab issues, merge
requests or via email.

Generally I can say that GSoC mentoring is a nice way for getting things
done, and to lure people into Xfce-development :)  Though it for sure
will eat some of your time.

If you are interested, later on you will need to define some possible
projects from which GSoC applicants can pick from and add them to our
"GSoC Project Ideas" Wiki page [2].

Xfce mentors will receive $500 per participant as "mentor stipend".

questions), please let me know !
