Hi,

As far I as remember, the author never approached us to promote xfce-polkit to an official project, that would mean a bit more of commitment to maintain the project, probably more distros would use it for their Xfce sessions, meaning more issue reports, etc.

If I were to guess, the author isn't interested in more work and that's totally understandable. From our side, apparently no one is willing to adopt the project either. All in all, there is no technical issue, just a maintainer preference (to keep it unofficial).
