Gmail Plugin

Hello everyone,

I am very new to the list and I am sorry for intruding.  I was
wondering if anyone has been working on a mail notification xfce-panel
plugin for GMail.   I recently noticed that Google has an Atom XML
interface (https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom) where you can find
out if you have new messages.

Anyway, as far as I can tell, there is no xfce panel plugin currently
that handles GMail, but I think it would be a great addition.

If no one is working on it, I would like to get my hands dirty at it.
