Upgrading from an old SVN pull of the panel to the July 1st snapshot resulted in my panel loosing the 
datetime plugin. Readding the plugin showed that it's interface has changed fundamentally it seems, 
from a simple point and click to entering format strings. Also, removing the date from the view in the 
plugin is non-obvious (removing the format string entirely).

It should be possible to switch between 12 hour am/pm times and 24 hours military times without 
reading a man page.
