I've just released 0.0.2 of the Dell i8k plugin...
no major functional changes but several clean ups and just better design.

-Timeout between updates configurable.
-If i8k module not installed or error with /proc/i8k it will display 
"Disabled"
-No longer uses i8k userland utils but the ioctl's.

I'll be releasing a 4.4 version soon with some more enhancements.
