I remember having trouble with gaining the keyboard focus of the
command line input field when compiling it as an external plugin.
Anyway, I can understand this concept and tried to apply your patch.
It's properly installed and such, but once you want to add it to the
panel, there is a CRITICAL message in the panel log and the plugin is
removed again. Can you please look into that or tell me how to get more
descriptive logs?
