Indeed, you're right about the font size. I basically just changed that
and slightly optimized the positioning of the main content in version 1.
However, personally I prefer the way the submenu is in the second
version, as having it on the side creates a lot of blank screen space
further down the page. In version 3, I additionally changed the main
menu in a way which IMHO makes it more readable (better signal-to-noise
ratio). Opinions?

I "ordered" a database on berlios which, according to the message I
received, should be ready in a couple of hours. I'll create a table in
there as soon as it's ready and fill it with some content unless you'd
prefer to do the scheme on your own. I'll definitely NOT fill the table
before we agree on the scheme :)
