Hi Andrew -- did you run the "dnetc -bench" command on your 6470 laptop to see which core is best for it with the openCL client? Reason I ask is I have one system with a 6570 and it will default to core 0, however the best core for it is core 3. Sounds like that is what is happening with your laptop. What I'm seeing on my stream cards is slightly less performance from the openCL clients compared to the stream client. However it isn't too much lower, for instance with the stream client on a 6570 I see 459m vs 453m with the openCL on core 3. And that is following pretty much the same percentages on my 6750, 6770, 6870, and 5770 systems between the stream and openCL clients.
