I wouldn't say it is quieter or cooler, though. If you go with a R9 295x2 .. you will get around 8 Gkeys/s and it runs extremely quietly (thanks to its closed-loop liquid cooling). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- GAURAV KHANNA, (508) 910 6605, http://gravity.phy.umassd.edu Associate Professor, Physics Department, College of Engineering Assoc. Mainly can they achieve more than a 7970 3,084.77 Mkeys/s. It doesn't have to be that card particularly but the above card is the card I am looking at getting. I would only do this if it was significantly faster than my 7970 I may also consider it if the fans are quieter than the 7970 Thanks for any information Cheers Jarod _______________________________________________ rc5 mailing list <mailto:rc5-Ra3b/QYEcJ3d140v2zMXi0fjHoOT/h/[email protected]> rc5-Ra3b/QYEcJ3d140v2zMXi0fjHoOT/h/[email protected] <http://lists.distributed.net/mailman/listinfo/rc5> http://lists.distributed.net/mailman/listinfo/rc5 ------=_NextPart_000_0029_01D0035E.9090EB10 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" = xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" = xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" = xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">
<META = HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"><meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 14 = (filtered medium)">
<body lang=3DEN-NZ link=3Dblue = vlink=3Dpurple>

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>Thank you for your feedback.
<p = class=3DMsoNormal><span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>Cheers

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>Jarod

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>

<div = style=3D'border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0cm = 0cm 0cm'>
<span lang=3DEN-US = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:= <span lang=3DEN-US = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'> = rc5-bounces+myself=3Djlmcclintock.com-Ra3b/QYEcJ3d140v2zMXi0fjHoOT/h/[email protected] = [mailto:rc5-bounces+myself=3Djlmcclintock.com-Ra3b/QYEcJ3d140v2zMXi0fjHoOT/h/[email protected]] = On Behalf Of Gaurav Khanna
Sent: Tuesday, 18 November = 2014 12:55 a.m.
To: D.net Discussion
Subject: Re: = [RC5] ATI R 9 series statistics

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>

I = get 4.3 Gkeys / sec on a standard (no overclocking) R9 290X card.
