Re: cdbmake isn't making anything for me

So you just want to see if a particular value is in the cdb?
  awk '{print "+" length($NF) ",1:" $NF "->1" }' list.txt
will make it in the correct format.  I'm not sure how to add the needed
blank line at the end of that, if that was possible you could then pipe
that through
  | cdbmake list.cdb list.$$
