-ERR unable to write pipe??

Gentlemen,
     I am sure this has come up before, but I have exhausted all other
sources of information. I get the following error when checking my
checkpassword installation: -ERR unable to write pipe

I do not know what this means or how to fix it. Can anyone help me out?
I am running:
RH9.0 (fresh install)
800MHz AMD Duron processor
1 Gig RAM
netqmail-1.04
courierIMAP
apache 2.0

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
