hi paul.  you seem to invest a lot of work into slash-package, and you
released a lot of new names into this namespace.  eventually people
would be able to build an entire system, especially with your linux-
kernel.

now i wonder how "the consumer" would use the system.  is it really as
simple as downloading the packages and using eg. your sp-tools to get
the whole show rolling?  let's assume i have some base system,
mandrake, red-hat or whatever.  i can download those 10MB+ of your
linux-kernel, and then what?  what's the structure, the directory
hierarchie that will result, and how can i configure it?  and what are
the most basic packages i'd need?

what would be a rational approach to transforming any type of the many
linux distributions into a rational, "djb"-style system with
daemontools etc.?
