[email protected] (Paul Jarc): > package: admin/sptools > new command: sp-globals hi paul. you seem to invest a lot of work into slash-package, and you released a lot of new names into this namespace. eventually people would be able to build an entire system, especially with your linux- kernel. now i wonder how "the consumer" would use the system. is it really as simple as downloading the packages and using eg. your sp-tools to get the whole show rolling? let's assume i have some base system, mandrake, red-hat or whatever. i can download those 10MB+ of your linux-kernel, and then what? what's the structure, the directory hierarchie that will result, and how can i configure it? and what are the most basic packages i'd need? what would be a rational approach to transforming any type of the many linux distributions into a rational, "djb"-style system with daemontools etc.? clemens
