ok, but you yourself said guile-ldap should be categorized by its
"ldap-ness", and with ldap there's no clearcut case like with web or
email.

i think protocol is a very good base for a categorization.  you would
have /package/protocol/http..smtp..corba.  many packages could be
conveniently found this way.
