My first post here: a request to clarify my interpretation of the "Delegations" section of slashpackage/names.html.

This is my first post on the slashpackage mailing list, and on cr=2Eyp=2Eto=
 lists in general=2E I'd like to proffer my sincere apologies if I demonstr=
ate a brash violation of the etiquette of this mailing list, or of whatever=
 community might surround it=2E

If I'm reading the whole document (see Subject) right, the owner of the do=
main example=2Enet, or someone she duly nominates, may allocate package nam=
es starting with host/example=2Enet as she feels fit, including the use of =
as many slashes as desired, so long as a number does not immediately follow=
 a dash (because that's a version number), and (due Unix filesystem limitat=
ions) so long as the substring between two slashes isn't the empty string=
=2E

Might such a domain owner then have a package named host/example=2Enet/wug=
daemon - using a slash directly after her domain, so as not to create examp=
le=2Enet-wugdaemon clutter in /package/host? Am I misunderstanding what's p=
ermitted and what's forbidden with this?

Furthermore, is it encouraged that the use of host/ package names be repor=
ted to this mailing list? Should registration be attempted for host/ packag=
e names?

Does the owner of example=2Enet also control host/subdomains-of=2Eexample=
=2Enet?

(I plan to use host/my domain name/-prefixed package names extensively in =
a project I am embarking on=2E Waiting for central registration is simply i=
nfeasible, as package names may be automatically generated=2E)
