Documentation is not yet ready, please wait. In short:
o runsvdir is similar to svscan with readproctitle included (no need for
  svscanboot), but not providing pipes for logging
o runsv is similar to supervise, but starting and monitoring a service
  plus its logservice, providing the pipe
o some other minor differences
