It looks like this has been a problem since 2001, so I'm a bit confused as to why there hasn't been a 0.77 release or something (it would also be nice to have the AIX 5.3 patch included). Until that happens I find encap [3] is a good way to deal with DJB's distribution policies. An encap profile with the patches I use is here [4]. I need to go test to make sure that the "</dev/null" syntax doesn't break non-Solaris platforms now...
